Cosmos and Halo
Cosmos and Halo define the first product language of L'ASTRO, a laminated glass system integrating Swarovski crystals. Developed through product, CMF and lighting design, the collection translates an architectural material into trays and a wall or ceiling lamp shaped by reflection, pattern and light.
The project began with a newly developed material: L'ASTRO, a laminated glass system that embeds precision-cut Swarovski crystals within a transparent sandwich structure. The design process established a coherent relationship between glass, crystal patterns and reflective metal finishes, working within strict technical and cost constraints.
Cosmos develops a family of trays through controlled variation. Polygonal, elliptical and rectangular formats share the same material logic while changing geometry, colour and pattern. The crystal arrangements create rhythm and depth, with denser and more open areas balancing visual impact, usability and production cost.
Halo applies the same material language to lighting. Light is introduced through the glass and diffused toward the crystals, revealing a spiral pattern that appears to gain volume from a flat surface. A polished circular frame houses the technical components and strengthens the interaction between reflection, transparency and light.
